All the Scientologists had better brace themselves: Paul Thomas Anderson’s “The Master” has been moved up to a release date of September 14th. It was supposed to come out on October 12th.

The TC/KH split may very well have been the initiation of the final collapse sequence of the Cof$. Moving the date up a month is probably just "strike while the iron is hot" tech. Obviously, it would pay to release the movie BEFORE DM does the Bulgravian Boogie.

Here is something funny about Scientologists.

Tom Cruise made sure he was given a private screening of the movie over 2 months ago. He gave his statement and had "issues" with it.

Now, how about other Scientologists. Does anyone in their right mind think they will be "allowed" to see it? I bet people will be sent to Ethics.

And there will be "lower conditions" and threats about "loss of eternity".

The only fictional stories Scientologists are allowed to pay for is Ron's.

    Scientology in one word? HelluvaHoax!

I never felt as free as when I freed myself from "Total Freedom".

For offended Scientologists reading this blasphemy about L. Ron Hubbard---my apologies for talking about real life without lying to you, like Scientology, with goo-goo theta-talk. I know you don't have a floating needle right now. You're not supposed to.

I don't have the time right now or the skills to post the image in my mind...
    It is:

Public Scientology Cult Member at home sitting in lounge.
    Eyes bandaged up...or gouged out
    Ears plugged
Hands cut off.....so as not to be able to turn on the radio, tv, or pick up the newspaper.
Legs cut off so as not to be able to walk into an area where there may be entheta.
Karin Prouw might be in the picture too, with a pithy quote from Mankind's greatest friend about freedom of information...or somesuch. Outside the window, the blizzard of entheta rages.

here you go, here's a CB post to unload upon...

yeah, CoS is going to hate the flick. i think they'll probably just ignore it as much as they can maybe just issue a statement saying that it's fiction and certainly doesn't portray the real lrh. i'm sure they don't want to make news by putting anything in writing internally to keep SIGS from attending

    but...

i saw the trailer. the lead gives what appears to be a very intelligent sensitive and sympathetic reading of his character. shriek as you will, his performance ultimately will serve to enhance ron's legacy.

    and...

the supporting roles look good, the director is obviously talented and knows his craft, good costumes, nice AD, the suggestion it might have a pretty good screenplay. i think you should all do yourselves a favor and see it twice. the second time you can squeeze it for all the material you can get

    but...

    first time...

just go to the movies, grab some buttered popcorn, make youself comfortable and settle in to enjoy what appears to be a pretty good flick...

Joaquin Phoenix is a genuine actor. Ok, I'm not partial as I think he is handsome and awesome
But, I suppose many of you have seen 'Walk the line'?
You gotta admit. He is really good. He won't do a movie unless he believes in what he is doing.
He is awesome. I already sait that right?

I don't go to a lot of movies, but if Tom Cruise has 'issues' with this one, that's a good enough recommendation for me!
