I drove to the Celebrity Centre this afternoon & walked around the complex followed by 2 paranoid bike guards chatting away on their radio. At the Bronson St parking entry, I ran into the infamous Buddy Richardson, the CC's Chief of Security, who was tight-lipped about the stage & lights erected facing Franklin Avenue and all the workers scampering around. There were also a cherry picker parked on Bronson.

Still no confirmation on whether the Gala is this Saturday PM or next week, but it looks like it's going to be sooner than later.

I agree. I drove around the Celebrity Centre today.. instead of walking in the freaking heat, I stayed in my car and drove slowly in circles around the conplex, because I was having so much fun with the bike guards following me (and turning around & taking off in the opposite direction when I braked & backed up).

They rode up to my window several times with questions & the usual fail attempts at bullbaiting.

The street signs shutting down Bronson Ave to parking are now up.

Yep, for real. They did this for the Ideal Org opening in Melbourne. Had critics and anons in a right royal tizz trying to sort out when to show up for the demonstration. They would have preferred if Anonymous had been a week late. Alas, that wasn't to be and they had to be content with simply fencing off the event from the protesters.
