    Default searching for a post

I was wanting to quote a post made in the past but I don't know how to do a search that lists the posts in a particular thread by a particular person. Example, I wanted to quote something Cowboy wrote about Hubbard's know best, so I thought there must be an easy way to do a sort of just cowboys posts on Trepidations and quickly scan through them to find the post I wanted.

Anybody know how to do this?

Here's how I would accomplish that task:

    Right-click on cowboy's name.

Choose "open in a new tab"

    Go there.

    In the upper left, see:

    Send Private Message
    Add to Ignore List
    Find all posts
    Find all started threads
    View Blog Entries

    select "Find all posts"

In the new screen, locate a thread of interest (for cowboy, there are very few threads he has commented on) And click on a link with the little icon to the immediate left.

When that window opens, navigate to the top of the page, and select "Search Thread" (find this in the upper right, just below the "page icons" below and to the right of where it says "Results nnn to nnn of nnn" and enter your keyword.

There is also an advanced search option. That's a little more complicated, though.

The miracle is not to fly in air, nor to walk on water, but to walk on earth.

The best way I know is one I got from Paul/Dulloldfart.

In Google Search (or other search engine) type

site:exscn.net (and then your search terms).

This restricts the search primarily to this site and if you use "cowboy" plus the quote you recalled, "know best", you'll get a pretty quick result. The more closely you recall what was said the quicker and more accurate the result.

    Example: https://www.google.com.au/search?hl=...1c.aU22ZLYawmI
    Dave Gibbons - Sydney, Australia. 34 years in scientology 1974 - 2008
    No longer a scientologist.
I don't believe everything I read on the Internet.
I do believe everything I write.

Wow, that's really helpful! Thanks for sharing, Pandy!
Yes, you can fly, but first you have to break out of that cocoon. You are capable of self rescue at all times.
