Many thanks for all of your input. I learned to know some new names. Some names like Mother Theresa I did not see as "Gurus".

Thanks, I never thought about the IQ-factor. Maybe that could be the reason, why I never had the desire to become one. But as a victim of intellectual giftedness I can tell you from my own experience, that there is a serious negative side-effect combined with this: you will never be able to get in contact with any of the body thetans surrounding you and therefore you will never have the daily pleasure of 4 - 6 fulfilling meetings with them. You have to find another way to waste your time.

By the way, I am a man.
    I am a man too.

Carrying on about one's intelligence is not very intelligent. Scns frequently like to make similar self-promoting, boasting statements.

My name was chosen for having the intelligence to LEAVE Scn, btw.

Intelligence is measured in many different ways.

Yes, you can fly, but first you have to break out of that cocoon. You are capable of self rescue at all times. Can you please elaborate:

Did you already read my signature ? And did you ever come across the words: "sarcasm" and "fun" ? (naturally not at AOLA, but maybe afterwards)
BTW, I am really a victim: 42 years of my life I didnīt know about it, thought that I would be average/normal, and lived a happy life. Then I was brutally shocked by a psychologist who presented me the result.... and how my life changed afterwards can be derived from your post.

Normally it is measured with Raven-matrix in combination with IST-Amthauer (or somthing similar).

Uncover...welcome to the board! Are you out of COS now?

Reading between the lines on your saying that "BTW, I am really a victim: 42 years of my life I didn't know about it, thought that I would be average/normal, and lived a happy life. Then I was brutally shocked by a psychologist who presented me the result.... and how my life changed afterwards can be derived from your post."...

A psychiatrist brutally shocked you by giving you the information that the results of a cognitive ability test were high? There is more to this story...if you care to, please explain yourself a little better, so that I can understand your meaning.

Were you diagnosed as someone living with Asperger's syndrome? This test is often given to people who are Aspies, and they tend to score higher on this that with other intelligence tests.

From wikipedia: "A 2007 study provided evidence that individuals with Asperger syndrome, a high-functioning autism spectrum disorder, score higher than other individuals on Raven's tests.[8] Another 2007 study provided evidence that individuals with classic autism, a low-functioning autism spectrum disorder, score higher in Raven's tests than in Wechsler tests. In addition, the individuals with classic autism were providing correct answers to the Raven's test in less time than individuals without autism, although erring as often."

Since you found out that your level of cognitive ability is classified as "gifted", do you feel that it is a burden on you, and if so, in what ways?

What prompted this discovery at 42, and was this before or after your Cult experience with COS?

Please share more of your story, if you feel comfortable doing so...what were the "wins" that kept you involved with COS?

I donīt have a problem to talk about myself, but I think that I am really not an important person. To keep an unimportant story short:

    - I was curios and therefore I had a look at Co$
    - I worked through academy training as Fast-Flow student with M1 and Pro-Trīs
    - I could find some interesting things - every fraud needs a product.
    - totally amount of money I spent for Co$ (including books etc.): ~ $ 6.000,--
    - I left Co$ in the 80īs. Totally correct, including routing form and sec checs.
    - I have never signed a seo-org contract.
    - I never had an ethics-handling, comm-ev or was assigned to the RPF
    - I have never been declared (as far as I know)
    - after leaving I learned to know, that there exists somthing like the freezone (even as we had no internet)
    - I had access to all of the xenu-space-opera materials (and read them) before they arrived on the internet, but sorry, no real interest.
    - I am familiar with Cpt. Bill Robertson questionable "Sector Operation Bulletins" and I even met him once
    - I was aware of David Mayoīs AAC and got his magazines
    - I never participated in the (old) freezone, Ronīs Org etc.
    - I read critical books ("Messiah or Madman", "Piece of blue sky" and so on)
    - In the 90īs I followed the a.r.s. and read some critical websites
    - I read a lot of "esoteric" materials Hubbard sourced from.
    - I am not aware that scientology improved my IQ or could do so

So now letīs come to the sad part of the story:

In the mid 2000īs my ex-wife wanted to get divorced because she had found a new loverboy. The court ordered a psychology-expertise who would be better for the custody of my son. After two psychologist rejected to do this expertise the court engaged a "well known"-dubios psychiatrist.

The boyfriend of my ex-wife wrote a letter to the psychiatrist with totally crazy accusations concerning my person. One of this accusations was: "Mr. uncover is very dangerous because he is highly intelligent".

Talking to me only for 12 minutes and without doing any test the psychiatrist wrote something similar in his "expertise" for the court. (As a result of this "expertise" I couldnīt see my son for several years).

At this time the "intellectual gifted" were people something near insane to me. You know, those types "calculating the 20th squareroot of 50.000" in their mind and so - something between autism and asperger syndrom.

I was far away of being somebody "calculating the 20th squareroot of 50.000" in my mind or doing similar crazy things. I do this with a calculator, if really needed. Therefore I felt normal and perceived the acussation of being dangerous and "intellectual gifted" as an insult.

So I wanted to sue the loverboy and the psychiatrist for action of slander. That I could do so, I needed a validated expertise that I would not be "intellectual gifted" so I went to make such a test. After some weeks I got a letter which stated that I would be in the 2% group of "intellectual gifted". I have to search for this letter, but it was really reading like a SP-declare.

I was shocked. 42 years I lived a quiet normal life, living in the illusion not to be a part of the group of people who "calculate the 20th squareroot of 50.000" in their mind or doing similar crazy things. I was in hope, that I could sue the loverboy and the psychiatrist for action of slander. All my hopes got destroyed suddenly.

And people tend to ask me now things like:

No, never - but I have to live with this cruel fate...

What country (or area) do you live in? I've never heard of "intellectual discrimination" before.

I think this is independent from the country. I heard two funny "definitions" concerning politicians:

"A communist is somebody who has given up all of his hopes to ever become a capitalist"
    and
"A socialist is somebody who is unable to create something on his own but wants to sit on the operating levers of power"

This two "definitions" explain a lot:
Jealousy you will find all over the world, and a lot of people tend to become jealous when somebody around them "has more" of something as they themself. This can be everything - IQ too. Indivídual reactions here are the proof.

My son is very clever too - and was mobbed in the school, even by the teachers. I have seen it with my own eyes. I explained him from my own experience, that if he wants to have a peaceful life the best behaviour is to play stupid so that his classmates and teachers donīt become greedy. This works - his life is better now.
