    Default Dallas Protest

Here are photos of protesters and fliers from the Dallas Protest February 10th, 2008.

I'm new to all this photobucket stuff, so I think if you click on the image you'll get a larger view of it.

Sorry the order of the fliers got a bit mixed up, but the pages are numbered. We found the fliers on our car and other cars in the parking lot (about a mile away from the Org) where we had some lunch. Then some of the protesters came up to talk to us, thinking we were following them.

While taking some photos from a side street, the protesters starting taking pictures of us until we started to honk and put our hands out the windows with our thumbs up.

It was a great day for a protest - 70 - 75 degrees. And the protesters were smart to stand on the other side of the street from the Org to be in the shade. There had to be 50 - 100 protesters. I didn't get a good look, since I was the one taking pictures.

The local ABC station in Dallas reported on the protest. They explained the significance of protesting on Feb. 10th. Lisa's birthday. The protesters spoke to the news - well spoken and to the point. Dallas Org refused to speak on camera, but issued a statement - something about religious bigotry.

The local CBS station was also there, but there 5:30 newscast was preempted by a golf tournament. So far I haven't been able to find anything about the protest on their website. I'm sure they'll cover it at 11 PM - I'll set the DVR.
