Church Photoshops Super Power Building in DMSMH

My friend brought to my attention this little gem!

The section in the back of the new ("Basics" version) of DMSMH has a sections showing Scientology facilities around the world. (You may wonder why Dianetics shows Scientology Churches - Ridge on the Bridge and all, but hey - no one will notice that.)

This section shows a picture of the Super Power building in Clearwater.

The picture is taken facing southward. The Fort Harrison is visible to the right (east) of the new building.

However, the building exterior - specifically the northwest corner (closest to the sky bridge) - is shown as being complete.

In fact this corner of the building is NOT complete. The church in fact has accrued $50,000 in fines from the City as a result of the exterior not being finished.

The actual building continues to look like this:

They manipulated the image to make it appear complete in DMSMH! A reader would get the impression of a massive structure in Clearwater, when in fact it is no more than an empty shell - sitting empty for years now. If only the reader know how representative that was of the Church as a whole.

What is the deal with the super power rundown?
Has it been delivered at all yet or waiting for building completion?
Is it some DM squirrel tech or LRH?

Last I'd read they are in debt $150,000 in fines for violations of completion and landscaping.

And from the article they've got the city of Clearwater quoting what we all heard in regards to auditing - it takes as long as it takes.

The true reason it's not done, is because they don't have the staff to deliver and no one to really deliver to.

If I were publishing the book I would have the picture photoshopped too. What would you expect them to do--leave it out because it's not complete? Include a picture of the nearly-completed building with a note saying they hope to complete it soon?

I took that photo during the chanology demonstrations. I was facing southeast, not south. The SP building continues to be a major eyesore in downtown Clearwater. I have to question if the money raised for the project was done fraudulently as the building is not completed, but the funds exist to finish it.

Sheesh..I REALLY really HATE that Ridge on the Bridge thing....(Well, now I don't care...but when I was 'in' I mean)...

As a Reg, we used to be careful about cross-regging when they expressed interest only in DN
(Hell, I came in soley interested in DN ...they had to shift me into Scn slowly).

Still....I'd like to see what they say about having Scn buildings in back of the 'New DN' books like that.....

Given the Co$ history of abusive practices, misleading statements, and out & out lies AND in a world of: hair coloring, contact lenses, breast augmentation, penis enlargement, liposuction, stomach stapling, cosmetic surgery, cosmetic pharmacology, ... etc..

A little "photo-retouching" is hardly a major overt. Hollywoods been doing it for years.
