I'll go with Emma's "divorce" theory first, but there's a part of me that thinks it might be this:

You post anti-CofS sentiments and probably harbor thoughts of having CofS disbanded. Then you find out that some of the people are NICE, and you don't want to hurt THEM. ("You" in this case means "One", anyone.)

But anyone in the CofS is part of the organism/organization which is forwarding evil intentions and actions towards their own members, staff as well as outsiders.

The calls are creating conflict in self, or emotional rollercoastering, or bewilderment.

I wouldn't put it past the CofS (with David Miscavige at the helm making up these ideas) that they are making these calls SPECIFICALLY to the critic community just to shake things up.

It's just more of their brainwashing, or causing of emotional rollercoastering in others.

The CofS is just a bunch of creeps. When someone leaves, they can have my sympathies... and not one moment before that.

Very interesting feedback. I now think that they are calling declared people deliberately but I speculate that the individual worker bees doing the calling may not be in the know.

The cult puts a lot of energy and time into foolish campaigns when it would best be served by knocking off the abuse. Since it refuses to do the latter, I can see why so many people don't cut them any slack. It's an abusive organization and a mendacious one.

It's so funny that I didn't leave for so long because I didn't want
to lose all my "friends". Hahahahahahahahaha.
It's so nice to have real friends who don't have agendas and like
you only because they like you.
I'm extremely happy and love my life so much now. When I was
on staff and brainwashed I thought my life would be horrible if I left.
I love having a job that pays me lots of money and gives me great
health insurance and vacations and holidays. I love owning a house.
I love having no debt and money in savings. I love my own time and doing
whatever I want in that time. I love being totally lazy if I want. I love staying in my pajamas all day if I feel like it. I love spontaneusness sp? (spelling, not suppresive person, haha) I love not having a filter that I look through life at.
I love meeting new people and not trying to get them into Scientology.
Crap I could go on all day but it's a beautiful day out there. I'm gonna go be that word I can't spell.
