Thread: State of play

    Default State of play

Events for the CoS during the last four months have not been
as they might wish. So it goes.

Apart from that, the current tranche of young lochinvars are
busy stomping all over ars, reinventing the wheel, reposting
the 'hot' decade or more old 'new' news and energetically,
ankle biting all the long established old valences and
    dev-T merchants.

    Whoopie! :(

Some might ask "So what's changed?" And all I can say is that
I remember the post war London news/cartoon theatres
that ran a rolling 56 minute programme. You'd tempted to
stand up up and leave, but there might yet be a freshly
delivered news reel worth waiting for.

Not always easy to trade an ideal for a real.

And here I'll pause - bedtime for babies.

Do you not think it good that there is more exposure, even if some new news is old news?

Do you not think continuing motion facilitates change?

    Hi, Howard!
I am truly into myself, yes. And I'm just as interested in other people. When I'm not thinking of one, I'm thinking of the other.

Yes I do. Very much so.

I guess it was just an sudden awareness of how many years
I've actually subscribed to ars, combined with a fleeting
    moment of 'grumpy old manism'.

Coupled with a desire to try out a new avatar...

Cue theme music from "Goodbye Mr Chips"

    cheers

    <laughing> sure do!

    Hi alex

Out of curiosity do you intend to check out another 'event
this month? I shall be in London next weekend to experience
the 'roar of the greasepaint' for myself.

I have to give the "kids" credit while they might be message board warriors it's nice to see they actually carry their intentions beyond mere words and into actions.
