    Default I'll say it again...

Cruise is a multi-billion dollar, take to the bank star. He fills the seats of theaters (and he's ironically rumored to... well, never mind). He's a star, like Travolta. Get over it.

TC is in an upcoming movie called Valkrie, where he plays an SS officer out to assassinate Hitler. All this role playing must be making the poor sob tired.

Default LET'S LOOK AT FACTS, please...

You have to look at verifiable information versus animosity towards Ron. As I said in another post, TC has only failed when he went "arty."

How about his last movies, in order, for the last 10 years...

< the numbers exclude DVD sales>

Lions for Lambs... $63 million an "arty" anti-Iraq screed, bombed, as was predicted.
(by comparison, "There Will Be Blood" the big Oscar winner, did $76 million)

Mission Impossible III... just shy of $400 million
War of the Worlds... just shy of $600 million OK, there's a billion
    Collateral... $210 million
    Last Samurai... $460 million
    <Goldmember, done for laffs>
Minority Report... $360 million OK, there's TWO billion
    Vanilla Sky... $200 million
    Mission Impossible II... $550 million
Magnolia (playing a sex cult leader) $50 million ("arty")
Eyes Wide Shut (a stinker, but it was Kubrick) $150 million ("arty")

THREE BILLION DOLLARS IN THE LAST 10 YEARS. He's a frikkin' star!!

    OK so I have a man-crush.........

Not the best paper in the world but a couple of interesting stories. I guess TC's got a short leash right now.
