Thread: Where are the Central Files?

Default Where are the Central Files?

    Hi everyone,

I just had a thought that I thought I'd get feedback on.

One of the things that has always amazed me is the amount of confusion with the COS mailing and call-in lists, and I think it's pretty interesting.

Does anyone else notice HOW CONFUSED the internal lists are? I get calls from Flag regarding clear, letters from ASHO about OTIII, verification calls from other orgs on where I am on the bridge, etc. (I was on OT7 for many many years up until recently)? This is especially funny to me since I see so many companies with streamlined mailing lists and call in programs. I've even helped companies put in applications to support customer service, etc. and it is not that hard of a problem to get straight.

I just figured out why that is!! The PR flap internally would be enormous if they did consolidate the list of active members and they totaled it up and it only came to 40-50,000 people total. My conclusion is that they have to keep the internal confusion going to absolutely baffle the staff so nobody can challenge the party line of massive expansion.

In terms of a financial problem, this is also huge. Does anyone else receive multiple mailings with different names, mailings from different continents, etc? I do, and I think it's a riot that so much money is wasted. I get probably 5 pieces a day on average to my family.

I also see that my local Org has an overall org list of over 10-15000, (and that is just people who have purchased major services) and yet can't get more than 200-300 people to any event. (most of them are relatives of the staff) It definately shows that the 10 million total number is way wrong.

Anyway, just a funny thought. Maybe someone will take this as a RICO issue since they are promoting their fraud over state lines, and/or mail fraud (or at least nusiance).

Yeah that IS a good point! I was getting mailings with several spellings and versions of my name (even in my Maiden and prev married names, lol!). It was crazy!

I was expecting them to send some to our dogs and cats names at any time....it was THAT bad!

I get really tired of hearing about how the lower bridge has value. The lower bridge has the sole purpose of getting the PC to reach for more bridge. The fact that many people improved their circumstances as a result of a good intentioned auditor being interested and caring about his PC is not worth the long term and intended result of Scientology technology. 8 (or 10) Million Current Members of Scientology inhabiting 50,000 meat bodies. It makes perfect sense.

I completely agree...there IS a reason for it and if the staff knew the truth it would be devastating. The confusion keeps the staff in the dark and it seemingly appears that SCN is so BIG that it almost cannot be kept up with.
I do have super powers...I just don't want to show you. :D

    Voldemorte,

I'm inclined to believe this is a prime example of Hanlon's Razor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon%27s_razor

"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity."

In fact, much of the behaviour of CoS staff is explained by this. Most of the really smart staff members leave quite quickly, or never join. Therefore, often what you have left are the ones with the lowest intelligence, who are incapable of organising a piss-up in a brewery.

Of course this doesn't apply to everyone, but let's face it, the CoS as a whole does not have a reputation for efficiency does it?

    Those pesky BT's!

Also, they're spending most of their effort fighting the enemy and don't have time for frivolous things like central files.

Default mail received thru post from $cientology

I have often thought that if I'm getting all this 'junkmail', and from various orgs and continents, then I'm sure I'm not the only one.
When I was in $cientology on staff I actually even secretly removed an Adresso Metal card with my sisters address on it from the files, as she was getting loads of mail, which she didnt want.
I failed to do it with my parents, who received unwanted mail (all 3 fold) over a matter of 28 years.
Just add all that up and multiply it and you have a huge waste of paper and energy and time.

Maybe thats the EP of the Cult:

Waste over natter energy, space and time
