    Default Through the Looking Glass

This is just a realization I had on how DM must view the world of Scientology.

He took over the Church in the early 80ies and the church was expanding through the 80ies. It just occurred to me that he has obviously concluded it was due to what he was doing that expanded the church at that time. This must have been a massive booster to his self-importance button, and a proof (to himself) that he was the right leader for Scientology.

20 years later the only thing that he can still do is to extract money out of people. That is virtually all that there is left of the Church of Scientology: a money-extraction machine. I guess you could say that is what it has always been, but look at it: The CoS used to have services that people paid for. They were expensive, yes, but as far as I know a significant portion of the income came from actually delivering something. And how is it now? You can only get either re-dos of earlier services at an increased price or just plain donations for an award or for a totally vague and unaccounted-for "Scientology expansion" or "protection." Some 90% of the income is in exchange for nothing.

Anyways, it was just a realization I had on DM's viewpoint -- he must really believe it was his achievement that Scientology expanded after LRH's death.

But now, after having declared a couple of thousand SPs to safeguard his Church, why is it now not expanding with the same "genius" still in charge and the SPs out of the way? Riddle me that.
Will that be cash, cheque or credit card?

I reckon you're right, LBV. DM "handled" LRH's death, Portland, founding the IAS, the IRS flap, etc. etc.. He "knows" he's the only sane one there - look at his stats!! I'm not gonna disabuse him of the errors of his ways. His answer to delivery was the Golden Age of Tech and boy was that a flop. I've some stories to tell about that one too - coming soon!!

To answer this in Scn terms, why look for logic in illogic?

Very interesting to think about. And I'd say that's pretty accurate.
Then look at it from a Scientologists viewpoint. "How can Scientology NOT be expanding (while covering their eyes from truth)".
Ron says Scientology will expand therefore IT IS EXPANDING.

I guess my real point (that I thought of but didn't write out) was that all that expansion that happened back then was being done despite of him, and as he has gained more and more power to order only his own strategies to be followed, things have progressively gone to hell. (Are we there yet?)

Perhaps it was dM was just riding the wave for a while before it broke on the truth of the bridge of PR. He caught a wave as it formed, and is now drowning in it true force.

I don't know the history of the 50's that well, but it appears Ron wrote up a "tech" of the mind, and punched it up tremendously with PR all within the same publication. When many found it not to be all that it promised, the wave of Dianetics followers began to falter. So Ron punched it up with renewed hope, and an added dream of a "tech" of the spirit, and a new wave began again, other individuals building and contributing to the tech as they pulled back some of the mysteries.

Many orgs grew in the 60's and throughout the 70's

Ron saw he was losing control, so he dreamed up such things as implants, the suppressive person, the ethics tech and the Guadians office and KSW, to prevent others from having control, and this lead away from spiritual awareness, gain, and freedom.

But the wave of people hoping and reaching and training to become spiritually free, had it's own impetus, and flourished in spite of the stops placed by Ron and his teams such as the GO/OSA and the sea org.

It was during this tremendous wave of striving that dM entered the scene, to take up Ron's undercutting, actually an undercurrent as seen in what happened to the mission holders, and perform a coup d'etat.

The wave now started to break in bubbling turmoil as it lost it's body of life and purpose from which to draw.

Now it's undercurrent is becoming widely known as a dangerous life stealing phenomenon. With it's altered and failing tech it cannot rise again as it lays stranded on the beach

Just as it takes minutes for waves to build and disintegrate, so did it take years if not decades for scientology to rise and fall. The power of the waves now return to the sea of life, to form new waves when the tide comes in again.

dM has no power but what is provided by the power of the sea wave. The tide is turning, it is soon to be out.

With wisdom and love we will know what to do the next time we build a wave.

Meanwhile we are the sea, and beckon the shore waters to return to source, where there is a multitude of life and love.

The operative 'cog'/Stable Datum for Davey is that he's doing *everything right*, so, it *must* work.

    If it's not; it's sabotage/enemies
    This is Scientology
