Default Tom Cruise's website uses flash cookies to spy on visitors

    http://www.imasuper.com/66/technolog...rivacy-killer/

I read the above-linked article and used the Adobe Flash tool to remove flash cookies, which is linked to in the article. I found some Flash cookies from Tom Cruise's website, tomcruise.com, that had been stored without my consent. Read this excerpt from the linked article to appreciate the threat:

"What if there was a type of cookie that could:
    * Stay on your computer for an unlimited amount of time
    * Store 100 kb of data by default, with an unlimited max
    * Couldn’t be deleted by your browser
    * Send previous visit information and history, by default, without your permission"

I recommend using the tool and following the directions in this article. One of Tom Cruise's employees could compile your web browsing habits and pass those along to corporate scientology.

Good Post, thanks. Tom too. Jerk.
Now that I know what it could not do for me... I'm enjoying discovering what can.

These settings for the cache are also available anytime a flash object is open, such as when you are watching a youtube video....

On a mac you control click on the video and the options to set the storage to zero is available in the settings dialog.

The settings manager on the adobe site can do "global" changes...

We don't know that for a fact either way. I am not surprised that you doubt any malfeasance from corporate scientology's poster boy.

Let's get that straight: we do know that evil forces are at work there, but we're just not sure if the cookie is included in them.
Will that be cash, cheque or credit card?

Well "smitty" your audio podcasts leave a flash cookie on my computer...

Why is that? Are you spying on me?

Isnt this a bit duplicitous of you?

Complain about flash cookies when you yourself do it?

Why do YOU want to spy on me?

Have I just proven you eviL?

No, alex, you have proven that you lack sufficient skills of observation and logical reasoning, because the podcast website is owned and operated by a corporation located in Bountiful, Utah http://www.podango.com/about/ that I have no ownership or management authority in.
It is interesting that I did not find any flash cookies from the podange site on my browser and you did.
I suggest that you contact them and protest their use of flash cookies.
I guess scientology training and auditing does nothing constructive to hone one's faculties of observation and reasoning. The subject is a failure. Alex, stop failing with it.

I dont care about flash cookies.

You asserted that Tom Cruise is spying on you, but all the evidence you provided was that the flash content on his site left a cookie on your machine. Big whoop. You didnt provide any evidence of spying.

You make dramatic accusations, inflamatory statements, but when it all is sorted out, its nothing. Something your own content does.

I'm just calling bullshit on you.

    Chill.

I made no assertion. I stated that there was the possibility. Apply your "study tech" and read my sentence;"One of Tom Cruise's employees could compile your web browsing habits and pass those along to corporate scientology."

Why would this be surprising? Lots of agencies do it.

And the $ci's are so damn paranoid, (and concerned about the Fed's watching them), I would be surprised if they didn't.
