Well I think we could both agree that both technologies use electricity to show the effect of thought....

I am not saying the intent of both technologies is the same, but that they are both measuring in some way the effect of thought as expressed by its affect on the body.

I think an understanding of science and how things work is an important thing. I have a considerable experience in electronics including component level repair and certainly understand the science in this case better than you realize.

If you were to try to understand the underlaying science in the case of both devices, I think you would better understand what I am saying.

I am not saying an emeter is an ekg adapted to disability issues. I am saying both devices measure somehow, thought affecting the body. That is the similarity. They both measure the same phenomenon, although for differing purposes...

the similarity might be more easily seen if the comparison between the reporter's "thought" showing up on the monitor is compared to the auditor finding a hidden date in the E-meter drill. They both rely on the registry of the right answer showing up on the dial/monitor.
