You Know-This Is Really Sad

There is an older couple in my Neighborhood that I just love to pieces. Really, kind & loving people.

They are a Christian couple, and the kind of Christians that really teach by example, Both of them live on limited incomes & pensions.

But for the past 10 years, the wife, has collected clothes & food for the homeless that gather(ed) at Coachman Park, and other areas of Clearwater.

Sometimes the hot meals she prepared in her own kitchen & brought to them, were the only meals they got all day. (Unless they could get in at the Soup Kitchen).

No matter how she felt, no matter what the weather, she would at least bring sandwiches to the homeless.

And, of course-the Cult complained. She was "encouraging" the Homeless. Well, today she got a lesson in Cult B.S.

She had been getting letters (unsigned), telling her to "stop feeding these people." Today the signed C&D letter arrived from the City of Clearwater.

She was threatened with breaking "Health Food Laws", the same laws that cover restaurants

And the Clearwater P.D. have chased off all the unsightly homeless that annoy the Cult so much.

She & I went last weekend to see if we could find her homeless friends. They were not to be found.

She said this happened once before & the Health Dept. let them serve one hot meal a day from their office(s).

Then, the City took away that right.

So, today I had a long visit with her & her Husband, and I explained a few things to them.

She was so upset, and wanted to know "Why? Why does the Cof$ care so much if homeless are fed?".

I had no reply for her.

She wanted to know why the "...Cult has so much power over policy in Clearwater?".

Again, I had no answer for her.

Well, if she is caught feeding the homeless now, she faces a ticket & a fine.

(I think she should tell her story to the St. Pete Times.) Especially since the City is trying to close the Soup Kitchen & move it to a different area.

Oh, and to the $cifags that used to shout at her as they walked or drove by on Ft. Harrison, or Garden?

Damn good thing I wasn't with her.

Cowardly Bastards. You know if you had asked, she would have fed you, too.

Did someone from the CofS actually complain to her? What I'm curious about is what she was told by them and/or received from them, before the C&D letter from the City.

I read something about them wanting the soup kitchen moved because it made the area look "bad". But a bunch of fucking zombies marching around in fake navy uniforms looks good I guess?

We ought to do a donation drive on wwp for her to pay the fines and let her keep feeding the homeless, klidov. This just pisses me off!

Why aren't the scilons volunteer ministers out helping these people instead of shooing them away? Isn't that what the WMs are all about? Helping people less fortunate than themselves?
