I reckon the balance is definitely going toward the ex's. I didn't have a broad number of friends in the field and didn't do the whole 'event' thing very often, but you still hear about people turning.

A mate of mine said an interesting thing to me recently: 'The scns you probably think are in could easily be out too -- you wouldn't know'

That had never even occurred to me. It does make me feel a lot better about stuff (friends and family etc).

You betchya! There are many here in the same boat as you. At the same time, it would be somewhat foolish IMO, to just "come out" without helping your close friends and family see what you are now seeing, before you do so - 'cause after that, you may not have the chance.

I would certainly like to know how everybody here seems to know how to grab sections of text that have been said by people and put them in their own reply... not only am I new to this site, I am new to forums in general. I will work it out in the end.

To Carmel, I agree with what you said about helping others who are still in. It is definitely a possibility for the future with at least one or two from my current position.

Once I jog my memory, I'll post a story of my time in $cn. Thanks again for all the welcome from you all.
