Dear ex-scientologists,

Enturb is down.

Enturbulation.org is now down. This is not do to another DDoS, rather the server seems to have been unplugged. Admin accounts through our email server have been deleted.

LE has unplugged the server. In attempts to call him, I have received curses, name calling, memes, loud music in the seconds he answered before hanging up. The noises back-dropped by the sounds of California Freeways.

At this moment it seems that Enturbulation.org is no more. Some members of the staff have been discussing this, as well as what we can do for the last 45 minutes.

Our conclusion is to wait until the rest of the staff is awake to continue discussions, and try to contact LE again to see what he has to say.

At the moment, the options in-front of us are if it is wise to recreate enturbulation. We have database backups, and could have a new site running. Unfortunately it would be on another domain name. The question of hardware also comes to mind, although we've just bought a new server, it's either at LE's house or being mailed to him as this is written.

We will try to keep you updated as things unfold.

At the moment it is not yet clear if this for real or just an epic troll attempt.

Go to http://www.mibbit.com and click the green "server" link. Enter "irc.whatnet.org" in the field that appears, choose a nickname, and enter "#enturbulation" in the channel field. (Warning: this will show your IP to anyone in the channel, so use an actual IRC client with vhost if you're paranoid about that sort of thing.)

options 3:
You can also connect by going to http://chat.whatnet.org/ and entering any nickname you'd like, put "Enturbulation" into the channel field, without the quotes.

Gauging from that message I'm guessing epic troll attempt. Although he's being pretty cagey LE said the site is coming back, this is probably in response to the DDoS attack Enturb has been under for the past couple of weeks.

WTF is this shit? WTF? I haven't been able to get on all week, i thought it was just the DDoS being stepped up (mates have been able to get on from work/library and not home).

Fuck. Right, this had been talked about on enturb, the possibility of disbanding the site or it going down and it was mostly decided to invade somewhere else. As a result if you see an influx of anons and a spam of desu it's us setting up a new main home.

I am not at all surprised. I lurked there on and off and it was largely anarchy.
I think that the most abusive people on enturbulation.org were the moderators.
Most of them were captious bullies who would have made acceptable executives in a scientology organization. What irony!
