    I wasn’t impressed by this essay.

    The definition that Hubbard meant was probably:

    accountable: in a position where people have the right to criticize you or ask you why something happened.

    Brian avoids this definition.

    The state of being accountable was seen by Hubbard as being a lower thing than being fully responsible - which is placed along the top of the chart of attitudes if I remember correctly.

    And that seems fair enough to me.

    Maybe someone pointed this out in the comments on Mike’s blog, but I couldn’t see it amongst the rush to agree wholeheartedly with what seems to me to be a faulty premise.

    God knows there are enough legitimate things to criticize, but this doesn’t seem like one of them.

    I think analysing Hubbard's Tone Scale is a waste of time. I don't know why anyone bothers.
