We (John Steed and Hamfisted Baboon) dropped by the The Norwegian Humanist Association's open meeting about scientology. I'd arranged with Andreas Heldal-Lund to do a presentation on Chanology after his scientology presentation.
The content of Andreas' presentation was mostly familiar stuff for us Anons, but he also showed several pictures never shown before: workprints and preview renders of Scientology's unfinished Super Power building. The design was quite extravagant, and many of the rooms had a certain sci-fi-feel to them. Some rooms looked like workout rooms à la Kubrick's 2001. The point is, apparantly, to let OT's "feel" their super sensory abilities by using all sorts of devices and contrivances. There was even a "table" with different materials (granite, wood, fabric etc.) for touching (feeling the texture).
I held a short presentation after Andreas. Started with a brief history of Anonymous and Project Chanology. Then I spoke about Anonymous' (lack of) structure and how we act/raid/do stuff. I concluded with Scientology's response to Anonymous. The Anon flow chart was a hit with the audience.
We also placed Lil' Laffy comics around the lecture hall. Pretty much everybody, of the 30-40 people there, took one. We got a great deal of questions and applause. A successful evening, I must say. The organizers were very helpful and positive, and Andreas was also very friendly, as expected.
Most of the meeting got filmed. Expect a video in the near future.
