Hello everyone! We found out that Scientology in Melbourne was having a birthday celebration for LRH at Deakin University, on the 29th of March. We decided to show up.

Let me tell you, it's rather scary going up against a huge mass of OT with only 8 anonymous present.

We stuck around for a good three hours, saying hello (and receiving no replies) to the Scientologists we managed to talk to. We talked to whoever we could about LRH, Scientology's history, and danced around and waved to the people partying inside the lecture building, to show them us SPs aren't lifeless, bad people.

It was a fun time, even though it did rain, and it would have been nice to have them say hello at least.

Thread on 711chan with pictures and such. Try and ignore any bad language that comes up if you don't want to see that, though I doubt there'll be much.

Any ex-scienos recognize some of the scientologists? Rather serious looking bunch, they are.

Stay Wild, Tiger -- you're doing a good thing.

You don't need acknowledgement or recognition from the scios, just yourself.

    Looking at "Fat Chin";

One of Melbourne's great "Gourmet delacies" is the Pea & Pie stall.

Well, we now know who has eaten all the pies..:whistling:

It's sad. I was great friends with these people. Some of them (mainly Errol) look AWFUL and have aged a LOT in the last 7 years. Errol looks like he hasn't slept properly or had a decent meal since he last yelled at me 7 years ago!

Tony Wickens looks the same (just a bit older). Mario & Geoff look older but JAMES!! OMG!! Stop eating!

    Not surprising,

All the Rinder family tended to be rather "fleshy".

Even Joanne, who was really sweet.

OMG, that is surely not Tony! I wouldn't have recognised him in a 100 years. Then again he was a lot younger when I knew him.

URL is down, don't bother clicking that anymore. They purged all the threads. :( Oh well.

Hope we get a chance to meet these guys again. Could call them by their first and last names.

My Goodness! The amount of lurking, current, disaffected Melbourne Scientologists is amazing!

I've had a tonne of emails helping me fill in the blanks about who the unknown people are.

    Here is the scoop...

Unknown on left is Jack Maloney
Unknown on right (Rick Astley) is Callum Scollay (Manny Foundas' step-son).

I'm guessing Manny married Kate Scollay who I knew years ago. I never knew they were an item though.

Apparently Callum is off to Flag for training as a magistrate. Maybe he is practising his "in ethics stance & stare". He's be far better off capitalising on Rick Astley's renewed fame and learn how to mime.

"Never gunna give you up.....:whistling: "

It's the label an Ethics trainee gets when he has reached the pinnacle of Ethics training, rather like "Dean" for a C/S and "Professor" for a Course Sup. I forget what is on the line-up. It is a title, an honorific, not a post per se.

And we're having fun in the process, that's the main thing. You all need a laugh after however long you've been in that soul-sucking place (based on the expressions on the OT we saw), and we all thrive on them.

Can go up to them next time and be like... "Hey Geoff, Errol (you weirdo), Manny, Tony, that guy that isn't very noticeable, Rick-...I mean, Callum, Steve, James... sup guys?"

That and we can get specific information about each one (such as I know one of them disconnected from his sister) and such.

We're gonna win this war, one step at a time, and we'll make it fun too, I say. :happydance:

Good on you, if you need any help please pm me, ok...

One question while scanning thru the pix - no women only guys, how come? Are there no OT's in female bodies anymore?

There was at least one woman outside, I believe she's in at least 1 of the pictures, but she's hidden by bad photography. These were the guys guarding everyone else inside the lecture theater - we couldn't get near it for obvious reasons, but there was a lot of women inside. Mostly the only woman the came outside was one giving some coffee to a few of the guys.

I noticed that. Interesting, as if the guys have to protect them... I have also seen that the majority of declared SPs are guys, I wonder why, just too weird... How many people you guess where in there?
