Leah Remini's Next A&E Project to Tackle Jehovah's Witnesses

Leah Remini has her sights set on a new project for A&E, one that will keep her focused on religion.
According to sources, Remini will produce a special for A&E that focuses on Jehovah's Witnesses, to air during a break following season three of the Emmy-winning Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. The religion, while based on Biblical teachings, has come under fire for some practices such as ousting or shunning members who have dissenting views, refusing to participate in politics or government, not celebrating birthdays or Christmas and for multiple predictions of Armageddon that have yet to come true.
The Remini-backed project is the first to come under the first-look production pact the actress and producer signed with A&E to develop unscripted projects for the cable network. During a May 17 FYC panel discussion at the Linwood Dunn Theater in the Academy’s Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study in Los Angeles featuring A&E’s Emmy winning team behind The Aftermath — and moderated by The Hollywood Reporter editorial director Matthew Belloni — Remini hinted that her team had several projects on the company's slate.

Remini added that she continues to receive messages and emails from people who are eager to share their experiences, not only about Scientology but about other religions. Still, with the Jehovah's Witness project, it's clear the Aftermath team is not done with Scientology just yet.
For season three, Saidman said they plan to focus on the church's tax-exempt status and “to go right after the heart of the church’s power and resources and challenge fundamentally the foundation upon which they stand.” Added Remini: “We’re had it with what’s going on. … We want to make sure we’ve done everything we can to put an end to (the abuses).

Perhaps Jehovah's Witnesses should be tackled in a big way -- but I don't think Leah Remini should or would do that.

the IRS need to look at the Monies the NOI and Louis Farrakhan are squirreling away...
with all the auditing they are doing... 1500 auditors and 4500 on the bridge..
all the FSM cash they are socking away..

the CoS might be in violation of their IRS agreement?...

its been awhile since I looked at the CoS IRS agreement..

I think remember there was something in the agreement, that prohibited that kind of transaction.

if that's the case hit em where it hurts.. I say.. The IRS could do something about it if that's the case..

the NOI filed bankruptcy In 2010 ish.. this cozy relationship keeps both groups solvent..

RS West ’18: Leah Remini on speaking out for the voiceless
By Daniele Alcinii June 8, 2018

L
eah Remini – executive producer, creator and host of Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath – took the stage at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, California on Thursday afternoon (June 7) to participate in a keynote conversation at the 10th anniversary edition of Realscreen West.

Moderated by Cynthia Littleton, managing editor of television at Variety, and joined by Aftermath co-star Mike Rinder, the intimate interview setting saw Remini open up about bringing her story and the stories of other former Scientology members to screen, the directions forthcoming in the Emmy Award-winning series, and her future ambitions in the documentary space.
A very hands-on approach

Unlike most stars in the non-scripted and scripted genres, Remini is very involved with Scientology and the Aftermath from end-to-end. Not only is Remini the face of the show, but she gets her hands dirty in the trenches of post-production, helping to piece together the intimate stories of each subject.
