So, I was in the SO but in LA, not uplines

I'd like to have some accounts of how it is to be uplines, stories...

Like have you witnessed the hole, have you seen DM there, is it true that some top execs get nice wages, does DM have special privileges like nice housing or so, can anyone confirm Rathbun's and Rinder's stories, how was life there generally....

Welcome, phenix (I can't do that "e" the way you do it - sorry).

I wasn't on staff or in the SO, so am not an eyewitness. However, others here have seen much and borne witness. There are so many threads that have recorded their stories.

Learn how to use the search functions here. But be prepared to remain in your pajamas for quite a while, though, riveted to your computer screen. It's a lot to absorb.

    Best to you,

    TG1

I don't know where to start... I was at CC Int

FirstI remember the berthings...man! Before we got theBronson building built, with exercise rooms, cafeteria, lounges etc we stayed in a building on Wilcox and Selma, close to the HGB. This building was likea horror movie man, roaches everyfuckingwhere, rooms packed with bunkbeds, really overcrowded, no water pressure (litterally drop by drop) so when you wanted to take a shower... ceiling crumbling... I mean you need to see it to believe it, I should have taken pictures!!!

Also loved being on the decks, while routing out
MEST work all day, not talking to other staff, being the out-ethics piece of shit, just waiting for your fucking sec check...all this dragging until they are ready and once the sec check is done you get out the door by 2pm thursday... Loved all that... Also loved having to sign the waver whereby I'd have to pay something like 50k for any account of my experience, and being threatened to go back in sec checking if I
    don't want to sign it....

    Security guys (Snr HCO)

During the day, while we were on post, the security guys would inspect our dorms ( or rooms for those married) and would take pictures of anything not clean, like hair in the tub, dust, trash can full, spots on the mirror, bed not properly made..... And of course those pictures would end up on the wall in the staff hallway indicating which rooms it was....

Wow, Phénix that doesn't sound so good, I thought working with posh people they might let you have a bit of pleasantness yourselves. Don't like the idea of guards checking out your space with cameras. I remember life before the pseudo-police. It was more pleasant, but not often pleasant.

Wilkommen Bienvenu Welcome, by the way.

the berthing inspection makes me remember...

One time i had just had very minor surgery, but couldn't really walk or be on post.

There was no way for me to do my post from there at all, so it was a rare moment of having some time to myself.

So i was in my berthing, laying on the bed, playing on my ancient IBM laptop - I think I was playing SimCity 2000...

And the security inspections came in and laid into me for being "off purpose" and told me I should be reading an LRH book instead of using my computer.

Later when I eventually left the SO... when they returned my stuff later the laptop was gone. :melodramatic:
