Now it would be very interesting to see where those same people are on the bridge. For more than one reason. One is to see just how "able" Scientology makes them. That can mostly be seen that the huge majority is giving less then $500. Not a surprise.
But also to see if these people are giving money when it could be (at least) going to their "bridge".

Either way. When Scientology falls, they will regret. And those donations can't be returned.

Probably, and for what? An org that could turn over maybe $500,000 PA? (guess). Beats trying to keep afloat by delivering Scn tech.!

It really makes my blood boil to see people being ripped off like that. Wasn't there a webpage or site that had a bunch of stories from people about how they were donating money to it and why? Someone linked to it on OCMB a couple years ago. I remember being aghast at some of the rationalizations.

Twelve million will buy about three nice houses in San Diego. So, probably a fairly nice, but small, building.

I think they shelled out something like 30 million to buy the place in San Francisco (which is a GREAT location). Really not that much for commercial real estate in a major city.

Would you be able to ask them about it? Don't do it if you are concerned about compromising your anonymity etc.

Rather than a complete falsehood, it could be that some "helpful" person donated say $50 "on behalf of others", and they dug up 50 names to put on the list to make it look like more people are donating than really are. But in a way that is almost defensible, kind of.

well the building the bought with that money was the old coleman college location in la mesa... the building is in shambles and has gone to even worse condition since they bought it... they claim they paid 9.8mil for it but according to Coleman Furr the man that sold them the building, they paid 20mil (time to report them to the IRS eh?) the building is huge, but the landscaping is a mess, theres tons of broken windows boarded up, ceiling is caving in in many sections because of a leaky roof, theres a sewer line that runs under the property that apparently has a leak, theres a beam in the ceiling that runs across the entire building and has a crack all the way through(there was a post put in this to hold the beam up 20 years ago, I cant wait til they get rid of the post thats totally in the way... OOPS), theres a side building built over a stream with a slab that was very wavy about 100 25lbs bags of asbestos filled floor patch was put into it in 1983 to get it smooth, and all the neighbors hate scientology.... boy was this a waste of money
