EPF Wasted time at CLO EUS.

Among the other bits and days of wasted time doing MEST work on the EPF at CLO EUS, I remember this day.
    Time: August 1988
Place: CLO EUS (349 West 48th St. Ny, Ny)

EPF LEADER: Kevin Condon (Boston, Ma Org Flag Rep In Training)

    Assignment:

Scrape the plaster on the walls of the first floor bathroom at CLO EUS.

Tools: Oh wait, tool, small blade paint scraper.

Objective: Not described, just scrape the walls until it is done.

I spent the day with that tool chipping and scraping the walls
    (oh btw: sans face mask).

When I was done, there was a pile of plaster all over the floor I had to clean up. Dust all in the air. I was coughing a lot.

The bathroom was about 6' wide by maybe 10' deep.
    -------------
Later on: Ayal Lindeman (plaster specialist) was on the Reno's mission and showed us the proper way of working with plaster. Always wear a face mask, at the end, take a shower and blow your nose a lot to get any plaster dust out that made it past the mask.
    -------------

In the end, when the permits came in to do the real construction, non-union Irish workers, took sledgehammers to the whole floor and just eradicated everything on the floor including that bathroom, rebuilding it all from scratch.
    ---------
Everything I did, which was so important to the Estates Project Force was completely a waste of time and hazzardous to my health due to lack of actual training from my seniors!

    LOL.

I was on the EPF for all of two days (or was it a day and a half?) when I was about twelve.

My first job was to sweep up leaves around PAC Base. This job lasted until someone realized that it was terrible out-PR to have a twelve year old kid wearing an EPF t-shirt working outside where non-Scientologists could see, which was about ten minutes.

So instead I was assigned to help a group of older kids caulk up a bathroom. Now, I don't know if anyone else has ever noticed this, but "caulk" sounds very similar to "cock"... and when it comes to bad puns, I'm not really one for subtlety. The entire time we were doing whatever it was we were supposed to be doing, I was saying caulk this and caulk that... I suppose I made everyone else very uncomfortable. :eyeroll:

Hah! I haven't finished this video yet, but did a short trailer.
I used my EPF learned skills from that time to renovate my actual real bathroom.

    I learned:
    1. buy a book on plumbing.
    2. Don't do anything a Scientologist tells you to do.
    3. Buy and use the proper tools (including lots of facemasks)
    4. Finish the objective and use lots of Caulk!

I think I was doing that same thing at FLUES in '83. It was completely idiotic. There were about 10 of us scraping walls in preparation for a perfect painting job. Mind you the whole building was a semi-disaster. Torn rugs, no TP, starving staff and the 10 spare people were scraping the walls in a non public area because we were being punished, I mean educated, I mean being given SRA's (severe reality adjustments).

Another stupid waste of resources, another stupid idea implemented by a stupid person, someplace.

I'm grateful for the stupidity of it all. If smart people ran the organization I'd probably still be in. Phew.

    Scientology is pure dilettantism......

What a waste of good young working power. What a pure dilettantism.
Another example why Scientology - for Gods sake - is not the fastest growing religion in the world.
Hubbards way to manage organizations is the same nonsense as most other parts of his so called "Technology".

Who knows, they promised me a job with equal pay to the ED of Chicago. Had they not utterly lied to me, I would prefer living there, and my wife was only 2 hours from there rather then the 17 hour straight drive in a rented car from where I live now. Oh the savings I would have now as a Flag Rep for Chicago (est. $420.00/ week if the Org was upstat) instead of what I earn now as a non-Sea Org member over $120,000 per year!

Fuck their wasted time and lies!

LIFE IS TOO SHORT AND IMPORTANT to waste on anything so stupid as Scientology!
