As depressing and infuriating as these stories are, I can only have so much sympathy for the people who are being victimized here.

They are the ones who are choosing, moment by moment, to accept what is being done to them. Miscavige is able to do this because these people are allowing him to. He has NO power other than what they have given to him.

It used to be common, and, still is in some (ignorant) circles to posit that one must be *stoopid* to get involved in Scientology in the first place.

Thankfully, the past 10 years have given most a more differentiated view and abilitity to comprehend the *trap* involved; the trickery involved; and, to better understand that, while it's few people who eventually get sucked in, *intelligence* is far less a factor than naivete.

Most 'wogs', once they begin to comprehend the Mind Fuck tend to show compassion for those still trapped, and a differentiated comprehension for what *keeps* them there.

Strangely enough, it's the Scientologists and ex-scientologists and those who are 'Scientology Trained' who show the *least* comprehension or compassion. Or, not so strangely; because the Scientology Mindfuck teaches 'ultimate responsibility' and, for those who are doing 'OK', anyone who *isn't* 'Pulled It IN'

Almost as depressing as hearing about the slaves-of-their-own-minds-and-an-exploitive-Cult victims being tortured at Int Base is listening to the smug Scienophiles who announce proudly that 'It Could Never Have Happened To Me'.

I have some credibility for commenting having done the OEC/FEBC. However
I have little other business training except in sales, a field I worked in for sometime.

I consider much of admin to be excellent. But I also consider there are serious flaws.

I think the major one is altered importance. There is no particular heirachy
of importance in the green on white. Unless, IMO, you discern and create one from understanding the general area.

Then there is just too much of the stuff.

This reinforces the fact of no heirachy of importance. Every div or post
uses their policy and often gets into opposition with others using theirs.
And you get a mix highly inducive to " office politics".

Then there is the interference of the various networks overloading personell. Recognised by an important eval, but apparently rampant today
    under DM.

Another key point is that REALLY important policies in this climate get reversed. With an SP in charge, humanity itself gets reversed.

Personally I would rewrite KSW 1, and reduce its importance greatly. The
important principles are already embedded in the tech. Which of course is senior to the policy.

Basics such as good comm, rejection of entheta comm, granting of beingness, service PL, first PL, and senior policy should be emphasised and made into policy if not already done so, and these be put into the first
pages of any course whether admin or tech. These if placed foremost would prevent the abuses in the SO. Well I think thats a reasonable theory anyway.

This is perhaps best illustrated by First Policy, " Maintain friendly relations with the environment and the public."

I need not point out how seriously this is applied reversely. Its why we are here.

I don't know exactly how the Missions applied green on white. I expect
with intelligence. They wished to give people service that people wanted, and get a fair exchange for that I guess.

Marketing and selling an intangible such as scientology/ philosophy takes great skill.

Selling a BMW is much easier.

    Admin tech

    Good post T.

I have a friend who is FEBC. She is poor, has a MLM business and lives in a ghetto.

Admin has no bridge so importance can get messed up.

Ron does talk about big beings in his first ACCs. He says they are needed elsewhere than on this planet. So we are stuck with crap like DM. :duh:

The guy who started EST made millions in a very short period of time. They didn't even have emeters and it was excepted and even applauded.

I think it was Nancy, Mick's wife, or Janis Grady, who was in a room with LRH while he was watching t.v. and saw Erhart on t.v.. He asked someone to contact Erhart to find out if he wanted to merge.

Anyway, these things seem bizarre what people are going through with these incidents like musical chairs. You have to ask yourself what percentage of the population is actually doing this. It has got to be the smallest group of people into something wierd on the planet. I mean, there are more people involved in the pornography business.

    I agree 100%.

Regarding his later fiction, this is rumor, I have no way of verifying it, I heard it from Lynette Allen who was up lines at the time, that when Hubbard did the manuscripts for the series, the deckology I can't recall the name of now, they came down to Int in folders and each one was only over an inch think. She said CMO Missionaires wrote everything in between.

It sounds unbelievable except, the early fiction I read by him I thought was pretty good. And I wasn't excactly spellbound by that deckology.

I also thought the story was a serious degrade on Mary Sue Hubbard, as her character was pretty obvious. So, Maybe DM was adding to it also?

I heard from a high level SCN exec that there are porn actors in the COS. Probably gays too, in LA.

I would have never put up with that shit. One Ethics Officer got on my case and I ended up beating his head in. Needless to say I'm much more stronger now and the person who would piss me off would get a unshakable R-Factor on his own immortality pronto. :coolwink:

Sad that Int execs who are at least Clear cannot stop a maggot like DM.

I have to disagree. Mission Earth was awesome. I read tons of Sci-fi books and Mission Earth is up there with Dune saga and Foundation saga. 10 great books packed with action, sex and humour. No way CMO pukes wrote it.

I got in SCN thanks to these books. :happydance:

I do believe that you're confusing me with someone else. What I wrote reminded you of things that others have said, and now you are lumping my statements in with theirs. This is of little consequence to me, but it may matter to you. If it does not then feel free to skip the rest of this post.

My understanding of responsibility comes not from my misspent years in the cult, but from my upbringing in the conservative south.

Scientology's understanding of responsibility is "you pulled it in!" This is bullshit. Not only that, it is calculated bullshit. The cult uses this notion to beat people down and enslave them. Everything that goes wrong is "your fault." Horse shit! Now there are times when people bring things upon themselves, but far from always. Shit happens. Sometimes its your shit and sometimes it isn't. The question is, what are you going to do about it? That is the concept of responsibility that I was taught as a child. It means cleaning up messes where you find them, and to paraphrase Ghandi, becoming the change you wish to see in the world. Don't like something? Do something about it.

If someone is being a bully, you don't go cry to the teacher, you punch him in the nose as hard as you possibly can. The teacher cannot protect you from the bully, even if she wanted to. She cannot fight your battles for you. Only YOU can take a stand, put up your dukes, and put an end to the bullying.

I'd like nothing better than to help the people who are being abused. In fact I have personally contacted the FBI and informed them of the things I've read here and elsewhere. But once again, I cannot fight their battles for them.

We here on the outside are not in a position to DO something about what is going on in there. The people who are being abused are the ones best equipped to put a stop to their abuse. They hold so much power that, if they would only realize it, they could put an end to this man's evil and tyranny right now, here, today. Miscavige has no power other than that which THEY give HIM. Authority is in the mind of the beholder.

So yes, my sympathy for them is limited and tempered by the knowledge that they are ultimately choosing for this abuse to continue.

But please don't confuse me with clams because of this. They don't deserve to be flattered by the comparison.

It is impossible to do anything from the inside of this movement. One wrong blink and you're out of there. You cannot say one critical word about LRH, DM or the tech to anyone else without getting into serious ethics trouble in an instance.

We have much more power to stop this insanity from out here. We are not bound by Scientology's self-protective rules which only allow for one thing: it's unhindered expansion and elimination of any intention opposing or diverting it. Such as telling the truth.

Peace man. My 'reply' was not so much directed at you as a cry of exasperation when faced with what appears to be a 'general' opinion from some. Yes, your statement at least echos it, and, I was thinking that you were at least an 'ex' Scientologist, but, quite obviously even *non* clams could fall prey to the same simplistic 'Just Do It!' paradigm.

The duress that's crushing the spirit of the Sea Org captives may not be as literal as a machine gun, but it can be quite as effective. And as evil.

It seems to me that the people who have *experienced* the Sea Org are far less swift to shrug off the extent of the extortion than the Scientologists who were 'less' dedicated.

And, the courage of those who *did* Just Leave by no means diminishes the courage and value of those who have not (yet.)

Like I said; I get exasperated. Smug exasperates me.

The people who are still being held captive, even when the captivity is only in their own minds, are no less captives.

Sometimes the threat is to their family; sometimes to their life; sometimes to their soul, but, it's always an overriding threat; even when it's spurious.

I don't see a 'mutiny' or 'uprising' or 'punch in the face' as a likely solution here. The only solution is the elimination of the oppressor from *outside*.

In the meantime, people will trickle out and discover that life goes on, and, that's a good thing.

But, I'm not going to blame the people still in the Scientology Concentration Camp for their slavery.

Once they're out, maybe I'll kid them about it, but, not yet.

Hmph! They were probably talking about me.

When I was public I got sent to the MAA for letting my boyfriend take nude photos of me. They wanted me to sign a paper saying they had nothing to do with me being involved with porn, an affidavit or something.

It was the big porn scandal.

The photo's were not even pornographic.

Any nude photo is called porn in the Church.

Yet, they put Kelly Preston as spokeperson for the purif and if her movie with Eric Roberts wasn't soft porn I don't know what is.

But after I posted about that on the internet we didn't hear about Kelly anymore.

There were two CO's in the Sea Org that were gay. Mike Bottomly was CO ALOA. And Donnie Webster was CO of the Freewinds. I think those were their names. There were plenty of people on solo nots that were gay. I didn't even know the Church had an issue about it until I was out of the Sea Org. I read S.O.S. and never got it that Hubbard meant to imply all homosexuals were 1.1.. I found out on the forums it was supposed to an issue.

I thought some of the Int Execs were gay. Ray Mithoff and the balding one. Ray was very prissy. Kind of obsessed with grooming and fashion too. I read on the XSO forum DM used to gaze at photo's of himself spread out on his desk, and inquire to his aides if they thought he was handsome.

The gay thing really doesn't bother me, I had false data stripping on it.

When I was eight I was watching an Alfred Hitchcock movie and these nurses were in a big house and getting strangled off one by one in a big storm.

At last there were two left and one began to strangle the other one and the stranglers wig fell off and it turned out to be a man.

Once I spotted where my mistrust came from it wasn't an issue for me anymore.

I just didn't go to medical school.

And lets not overlook Juliette Lewis...

Reportedly she wanted to call her band "Juliette Lewis and the Licks the Dicks".

But to me "Natural Born Killers" was far more offensive than a simple naked female body. Just shows where their confront is at....

    Hi Div 6

boy, we have debated that on XSO and not managed to come up with a good answer. There are many many people ready to help out once a person leaves but trying to get through to them in order to get them to leave... not sure.

Hmm. I may have an idea.
