The signs at the demos are messages for the audience, the publics reading them. Such as:
These signs are going to be mixed in any demo, as individuals will do their own thing, but at least some thought can be put into why one is suggesting any particular choice of words. I've seen articles on the enturbulation.org and related forums suggesting different messages. Most of them I thought inappropriate.
My second preference is for increasing general public awareness of the horrors of Disconnection as actively enforced by the CofS right now.
My #1 item is to promote my own free online Rub & Yawn stuff, but I wouldn't expect others to do that.

- CofS people who see the messages in local press or on TV or YouTube etc.;
- Non-Scio passers-by, on foot or in vehicles;
- Non-Scios who see the messages in local press or on TV or YouTube etc.;
- The protesters themselves, both at the demo and on the internet before and after.

Thanks for the tip! I added more messages to the summary post that I found at forums.enturbulation.org. There is an overwhelming amount of info out there!
BTW...I now declare my penitence over!
Also, adding more message suggestions is beginning to look like overkill to me. What I think would be of greater value is a listing of messages that have met some kind of criteria for effectiveness (e.g., based on a poll or something). Uhh, better not wait for me to do it though, he said shamefacedly.

What are good ways to letter picket signs?
The best-looking ones are professionally printed. But taking it down a notch, what are the options for someone with a normal inkjet printer, not one that takes folio-size paper?
Hand-lettered ones using wide felt-tip marker pens usually look a bit scrappy. Stencils look like something from a construction site. Stick-on vinyl letters are too expensive.
The CCHR demo pics posted yesterday showed some well-lettered signs. Anyone know how they were produced?
