There has been a lot of hoopla of late from the far left of the Scientology spectrum. What with the news from the Inquiry of Oz and the rumored class action suit concerning IAS and Superpower refunds. As per usual these cats are acting like their soul mate Miscavige. Come out with hats and whips blazing, diverting attention and energy with efforts that in the end will have miniscule, if not negative, effects.

Inquiry of Oz. If Senator Xenophon’s speech is the template for the proposed Inquiry, the hate and falsehood within it will sink it out of sight ultimately. The snide references to “so called religion” and attacks on the efficacy of the tech are built in mannas for Miscavige. He can position the entire matter as an over zealous attack upon a recognized religion. And he’ll use the nature of the attack to raise many tens of millions more in IAS donations. The ass clowns have already declared victory with as much conviction and certainty as DM proclaims Scientology has attained “explosive” expansion. The perfect GPM. It is a shame Xenophon didn’t go in with a cooler head as certainly there are abuses in DM’s kingdom that would be prosecutable if approached with rationality. Some might argue that Xenophon can reframe it and try again. He can try, but as the proverb goes, “the toothpaste is out of the tube”, and his opening speech will forever be used against him to characterize whatever Inquiry ensues. I have tried to warn people from the dark side that their penchant for hype and overkill dooms otherwise potentially fruitful avenues for reform. But they listen to rational counsel about as closely as DM does.

Class Action suit. Solicitation is now in progress for a proposed Class Action lawsuit that will allegedly reap refunds for IAS and Superpower building donations. Bad strategy. A number of people have obtained refunds – and others are in progress – to obtain refunds of payments to church affiliated no-exchange operations. By word of mouth more and more people began to seek their own refunds. Then a couple of far left spectrum lawyers caught wind of the easy money and decided they’d cash in by monopolizing the action. Dumb move. Every class action suit brought against the Church in the past was similarly hatched by gold digging shysters, and they went the way of the dinosaur. It is just plain stupid strategy to put all one’s eggs in one basket – particularly against such a well-heeled, well-oiled litigation machine as the church. Prediction, either the lawyers will destroy everybody’s chances for refunds by having their heads handed to them by a judicial precedent prohibiting such refunds, or at best those who sign up with them will wind up getting a small fraction of their refunds in a settlement maybe five or ten years down the road.

Now there is an outside chance one or both of the above hype du jours will take some of this into consideration and significantly change course.

Excuse me. I gotta put my helmet on. Every time I express an opinion critical of the critical ones, they start throwing rotten vegetables and fruit with as much ferocity as Miscavige used to punch on Rinder for counseling a bit of reason. Like I keep saying, its a match made in heaven.

It is possible that once Scientology is fully investigated here in Aus and in the US, Marty will be still saying the same thing - only from a jail cell.

He does seem to want to avoid any participation by the legal system.

Maybe he can explain himself on this point in a later post.

Even probable, if the Oz investigation discloses the crimes, and then the US follows suit.

I'm glad Marty has voiced his opinions here, and showed his true that he has, maybe those who didn't see those colours before, will now.

The far left of the Scientology spectrum? :roflmao:

Does "Scientology spectrum" also include the anons? I mean, a spectrum covers pretty much anything, doesn't it?

In that case this is the only occasion in my whole life where I have been called "far left", I am still peeing my pants laughing over that :dieslaughing:

Oh, and btw, whatever respect Marty Rathbun deserved for the SP Times interview, he just killed it all. Jesus, how low can you get...

Oh! So Rathbun doesn't like it when the freedom-loving Australians stand up and expose the abuses of Scientology.

Oh! So Rathbun is upset by the Aussie's kick-ass use of the legal and justice system to make the world better.

Oh! Rathbun really hates it when real human rights advocates thunder by him on the way to doing something worthwhile.

His little self-serving blog looks ridiculously small and weak compared to real freedom-fighters armed with truth.

Go Aussies! You must be on the right track when con men Marty starts screaming bitterly that you don't play fairly. Keep it up boys & girls, keep it up!

Rathbun is pathetic. (but thanks for the self-serving whistleblowing vs COB, anyways)

I remember very clearly all of your previous posts on Marty.

You is a psychic, prognoticatin' killah, girlie!

So many old adges come to mind with regard to the bolded bit. Pot, Kettle? People in glass houses... shouldn't use analogies that remind the reader of the writer's previous admissions regarding throwing punches?

As for the rest of the vitriol in his post, I don't really know what to say -- except that this is a side of Marty that he has not shown in his blog; at least, not to this frothing extent.

    It's very interesting.

Rae Patron with Honors does seem that way, much to my dismay.

It seems that from the point that Marty wrote his blog that formed up the "Independent Scientologists" as a group, that that group is looking more and more like the Scientology that I left.

Then came his "middle path" blog with "haters" on one side and "DM fanatics" on the other.

And now Marty's "Noise" blog which shocked me to read. Very reminiscent of the exact types of labels in Scientology. But telling people they shouldn't use the legal system to get their money back? That is just too much like being in Scientology. What Marty's true intentions are here is beyond me..but it's scary. (Enforcement of realities, being told not to seek legal recourse, told to not pursue justice thru the laws of the land, being given labels like "the haters", etc.)

One thing I can say, that despite grudge matches, differences of opinions, Freezoners, anti-Scios, etc that show up on this board, I never thought anyone was being regged to be in a group with all the group think that is so obviously going on now in Marty's corner. We are just a bunch of people who've shared a common experience and taken from that experience different things and have chosen our own paths based on that experience.

I see something very frightening happening. Time to take some action myself.

I called Marty tonight and asked him. Here is what he said:

"I know Scientology has accumulated 60 years of crimes, human rights atrocities and fraud. But I've got my little website and an E-meter and don't need any help. I can handle Scientology all by myself from here. Trust me."

You Australians are ruining all Marty's plans by exposing the whole cult. Only DM is supposed to go so Marty can stage his little Palace coup and take over.

The way things are going there won't be any money or cult left for Marty!

I had some doubt on Rathubun's motives when I read the SP Times series. He just removed all doubt. :duh:

But, had to ask myself, why would Rathbun, such a savvy, secretive strategist with so much experience make such a complete BLUNDER by showing his cards like that?

He has been doing a half-way decent job of trying to hide his true thoughts.

Then suddenly the dam breaks and out pours this Tommy-Davis-like PR meltdown that reveals his petty, arrogant, dictatorial, propaganda-line agenda.

    Why, Marty?

I think it has to be this.

He knows that Scientologists are fearful children that need a parent to care for them and reassure them that there are no monsters under the bed.

So, he is doing this to assuage the terrorized minds of his "children". They get plenty upset when the media, governments and legal system start snooping around. They want "daddy" to tell them a cheery story so they can go back to sleep.
