Why are there so many different contradictory overt /withhold handlings?
In sec checking - you ask what, when, where, who missed it, and you go earlier similar
In ruds - you don't ask where, but you do ask what, when, and is that all, who missed it, and earlier similar.
In fprd you are doing sec checking but also looking for evil ints.
In repetitive processing you ask the question over and over with no concern about what is earlier or later.
On O/W write ups, you write up place time form event, with no auditor to guide you, no earlier similar, till you f/n at exams. It is almost like self auditing, and wh pulling out of session.
It is "illegal" to ask for withholds out of session, but that is what is being done in o/w write ups.
In gang bang sec checking you have multiple auditors barking at you.
In some sec checks (elig. particularly) they say they are not auditing you and the overts found are actionable, and they are asking where, and the auditor does write up KR's.
In other sec checks (called a confessional) they are "auditing" you and the overts found are not actionable, they do not write up krs, yet they still say "I'm not auditing you."
All of the overts and withholds can be used against you (per Mary Sue).
The church can have group overt pulling where they pull/ you tell your embarrassing overts in front of the group. This happens in the SO a lot and totally violates pulling overts out of session rules.
And what's the deal with marriage counseling, where your spouse is sitting in the room?
In Narconon, when you write up overts, they tell you to write it up by dynamics, but no meter check.
If that is not enough, the church has been known to publish your overts given up in session, just ask Amy Scoby how she liked that.
Did you know in many orgs the sessions are being videoed? These can be seen by auditors, c/ses, execs, D of P's, senior c/s's on and on.
Despite the folders supposed to be "confidential" and the auditors supposed to keep their lips zipped, they (auditors, Dof P,s Tech secs, cramming officers, FESers, etc. etc.) blab amongst themselves about all the juicy stuff that comes up.
After all of these contradictions, you say, Mimsey - is that all? No. There is "having similar overts of your own". Who do we know in Scientology who dreamed all of this up? He must have been really familiar with the subject of overts. I guess when you don't live in an ivory tower, and you are down getting your hands dirty in life..... You might know a thing or two about withholds and missed withholds and overts!!!.
