Very interesting video Arnie!

Yes, I agree we are at a cusp of change, "Rome" is falling. A civilization is at its peak for 250 years? Not sure if I agree, but I am not a historian. One of my favorite speakers is Noam Chompsky, and I got to see a lecture of his in person about the "Military Industrial Complex" just after the Gulf War in the early 1990's. Would be interesting to hear what he would have to say about the info presented in this video (though he makes a couple of appearance in it). The "Military Industrial Complex" does seem to be a downfall of any country in the past including the USA (currently?) that has a dominant position in the world. Look at what happened to the Ottoman empire, Rome, Spain, Portugal, the British Empire, the USSR, and now the United States.

(Okay, so what's the point and how does this relate to the Co$? The big tent event is a distraction from stealing the wealth?) ..

I liked the differentiation made between capitalism, where failure is the possible result of bad decisions instead
of the socialism for the rich, as seen in 'too big to fail' which is fascism, which is what America has become.

The movie makes it clear that anyone who calls the US Government a democracy is but a fool who doesn't understand that the corporate control of a supposed democracy by extortion and largess - thru lobbyists, and control of what the public THINKS is meaningful - using some of the same information and mind control techniques that once made us into scientologists has turned democracy into feudal state of owners, a plutocracy, and consumers....

It is a long presentation, but some folks will need the gory details and repetition, to 'get it'. (of course many of those will not watch it because they think they have all the answers,... also, like scientologists..)

I just finished watching the documentary and I wish every American would watch it. Very valuable information. And it's information that people from all political persuasions can find common ground with.

I watched Bill Moyers Friday night talking about the latest terrible idea of a "Free Trade" agreement (TPP) being put together right now behind closed doors by the usual scoundrels. Pay attention to this and be ready to call your Senator to quash this because they will be under a lot of pressure (bribes) to pass it. If it gets passed then we're fucked. It's probably the worst trade agreement ever, and the others were terrible enough....

I thought TPP was already said and done.
Almost no one has even heard of it and even fewer know what it is. Distracted by failing websites, and the FBI's six week cycle emergencies.
This is a great documentary... I got about halfway through. Trying to get everyone fed and tucked in so I can see the last of it.

Good vid, Arnie. It got me interested in the parallels with other historical economies, particularly Rome, so I did some digging and searching online and found a great paper detailing the economic fall of Rome. I was surprised to find the same sequence of solutions used in our current western economy and banking system that were used in Rome. I thought there might at least be some variations, but no - the sequence and solutions were shockingly identical. So I was keen to know exactly how it all collapsed as the taxes escalated higher, forcing more unemployment, less production and higher inflation. Thought you might find the whole article interesting. Check out this excerpt from http://www.cato.org/sites/cato.org/files/serials/files/cato-journal/1994/11/cj14n2-7.pdf

With the collapse of the money economy, the normal system of
taxation also broke down. This forced the state to directly appropriate whatever resources it needed wherever they could be found. Food and cattle, for example, were requisitioned directly from farmers. Other producers were similarly liable for whatever the army might need. The result, of course, was chaos, dubbed “permanent terrorism”by Rostovtzeff (1957: 449). Eventually, the state was forced to compel individuals to continue working and producing.

The result was a system in which individuals were forced to work at their given place of employment and remain in the same occupation, with little freedom to move or change jobs. Farmers were tied to the land, as were their children, and similar demands were made on all other workers, producers, and artisans as well. Even soldiers were required to remain soldiers for life, and their sons compelled to follow them. The remaining members of the upper classes were pressed into providing municipal services, such as tax collection, without pay. And should tax collections fall short of the state’s demands, they were required to make up the difference themselves. This led to further efforts to hide whatever wealth remained in the Empire, especially among those who still found ways of becoming rich. Ordinarily, they would have celebrated their new-found wealth; now they made every effort to appear as poor as everyone else, lest they become responsible for providing municipal services out of their own pocket.

It certainly didn't help matters that some of David Miscavige's heros Tiberius and Caligula were busy putting in fair game tech around that time.

Although I realize that because of the greater rule of civil and criminal law in our current society DM is under greater constraints, but I find Caligula's method of operating as having striking similarities to DM's, and the 'off the crossroads' and mainly hidden from scientologists' awareness, facist 'rule'.

Soon I expect statues of Caligula sitting next to busts of LRH in the caligula_theme_extracted Ideal Orgs. Hell... even vatican city has one of Caligula's obelisks! Some things are just weird.

I love this guy, his mannerisms remind me of my italian mom, waving her hands around, explaining emphatically what the hell is really going on around us..
