Tipping Point--Is it just my imagination?

Maybe it's just the limited observations of my pea brain, but it seems as though some sort of tipping point has been reached with Scientology versus the world.

Over the past year, the cos has suffered a number of heavy blows. This is unprecedented in such a short period--St. Pete Times, numerous TV exposes, celebrity departures, Marty and the books of Ex SO. Not to mention all information available on line. There are so many horror stories written by the very people who experienced the abuse, it's nearly impossible to deny the truth.

In the old days (pre Internet), the cos could get away with heavy litigation to scare the critics into silence. That ploy seems unworkable in the face of so many people to sue.

Another recovery tactic that doesn't seem work as well as it used to is to show up on your doorstep with a pack of scienos doing a gang bang love bomb. With so much antagonistic information on line, the disaffected have a much stronger position than in the old days and they have friends who will support them if they leave.

The local org seems empty and the new local org's building is empty in need of renovation. Criticizing the cos seems to be a lot more popular than praising it. Even on the Golden Globe Awards!

To me, the Church is beginning to look like Rodney King.

I agree... i think the CO$ has meet its match in the internet.. and it can't handle it, I was never in the cult, but my friend was... but from what I gather alot have left the cult after they started to venture out on the internet to see if some of the 'stories' they have heard are true about it been a cult etc... alot seem to question it more because of whats out there on line... the time my friend (from Ireland) was in it and we protested hard in Dublin, the internet was really only becoming a tool for information... if we knew then what we knew now becuase of the internet we would have really caused a lot of trouble for them .. we did as it was with limited info... but the stories of families and ex members are all the same from all over the world... its either true of the biggest conspiracy theory in the history of mankind....

I think we can look at the fact the CO$ is changing tact with new programes like Narconan, weight loss programes etc.. so its trying to get new members from new methods.. the last one I saw was a job recruitment agency in OZ... I mean when will the Catholic church (even with all its problems) have to open a job centre in the Vatican to keep up the numbers...

Also the change of tact by Slappy Dave with the opening of mega big (empty) centers to really show the cult off in a rich and healthy light.. when its all fur coat and no knickers...

The only thing that amazes me is the lack of interest at government level at any country to really show an interest in the workings and dealings of the cult...Its not a vote catcher I'd admitt... but its still an important problem that is wrecking lives....

However in a nutshell.. I think the church peaked sometime ago... the walk out of some of the highest placed members show that its not all happy behind the barbed wire walls of the CO$

SCN relies heavily on boxing its folk up and getting them to bring newbies into the box.

The box top has been opened via the internet and people that may be exposed only to what is dragging them in now have access to the reality inside that box and are puking at the sight of what is in there and running.

Bring it on SCN you shoot your feet daily, there aren't that many more un-holey SCN feet left to use as targets.

I'm still enjoying "all fur coat and no knickers."

And for the record, I agree: Tipping Point. Reached.

The tipping point may be reached but people have short memories so the public education efforts must not wane. When I first dated a scientologist in the '70s, I did not know why my parents and almost all adults I knew just wrote off his family as nutjobs. The thing is, these adults all knew Scn was not good and had been involved in government infiltration and all of the other icky stuff, but they did not bother to pass the info to the next generation properly.

That scientologist had no wish to do any more scientology and when we were married, he kept me separated from his parents and any possibility of involvement with scn. So is was not until his family started interfering in some medical treatment issues with one of our kids that I actually "looked" at scn and was rather disturbed. I then had the goal of ensuring my kids were inoculated against scn and much much more......

"I KNOW YOU ALL WANT TO HELP THE ORG GO IDEAL. HERE IS A WAY, EVEN IF
YOU ARE CASH-STRAPPED:
We are having a massive silent auction and OC Reunion Event on Feb
12th. For the silent auction, we need donations! THIS IS GOING TO BE
AWESOME. I KNOW OF A SCHOOL THAT RAISED OVER $15,000 IN DONATIONS FROM A
SILENT AUCTION.
Here are some of the things THAT ARE ALREADY COMMITTED AND PROMISED:
- A brand new dining table and chairs (donated by Kerri-Ann and Dennis Robb)
- A 2 day, 3 night weekend cabin in Lake Arrowhead (sleeps 8 people!)
donated by Master Freedom Medal Winner Boris Levitsky and the amazing Susie
Cooper
- An 8 person sailing trip on the amazing 30ft Sailboat, Rhapsody in Blue
with Captain Ned McCrink and Wench Saralinda. In this case, 8 different
people can each pay separately, or you could buy more than one spot.
- A weeknight of babysitting with an 11 pm curfew (Date Night timing with
your significant other or just go grocery shopping and handle errands in
peace!!) By a babysitting expert, was-a-child-once Saralinda.
- An 8 person invitation to the World-Famous Magic Castle in Hollywood.
(You have to be invited to get in.) From Saralinda's Magician Boyfriend,
Larry Soffer.

JUST ADDED: One hour of tax prep time with Greenberg & Jackson CPAs in LA
($250 value) from Brad Bernstein; more babysitting by German Exchange
Student Extraordinaire Lara Langemeister, an LRH ePulp- an iPod filled with
all of LRH's fiction short stories (from the Golden Age of Fiction in the
1940s) from Mr. and Mrs. Smith aka Laura and Adolfo Quintero.
As you can see, these things are rad. Uncommon things are awesome, as well,
we want as many people to donate regular services that you provide or can
provide so that people will be able to get routine things that they need,
and donate the money that they would normally pay someone else, to the Ideal
Org.

Here are some of the things that we are looking for: chiro adjustments,
dental work (I think whitening will be very popular), Doctor Exams, vet
services, horseback riding, car detailing, a lot more babysitting, an
airport shuttle ride (are you the type of person that can usually arrange a
time you can drive someone to the airport? That's handy!), handyman
services, a lesson or two on an instrument if you would like to teach
someone, more time share/vacation time in a cabin or other destination, if
you have a night or two of accommodations at Flag or CCI that you would like
to donate, time to tutor or wordclear someone, etc. ALMOST EVERYONE I
THOUGHT OF TONIGHT HAS AWESOME SKILLS THAT OTHERS WOULD WANT.

ANOTHER BIG AREA is gift cards. If you have AMEX or other points that you
would be willing to cash in up to some specified amount, you can do so, and
donate the gift card. Regular cards for things like groceries and
restaurants will be much appreciated.

YOU CAN HELP THE ORG EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE CASH.
Let me know if you have questions, and what you are able to donate. If you
want to help, but still don't think you have anything valuable, let me
know. I bet I can find something you can do! Let's make this a mad
success!

Kerri-Ann, Susie Cooper and I are working on this.

Boojuum, it has gotten LOONEY TUNES, more than ever, with the over the top regging and ridiculous donation schemes with no exchange. It's horrible. That's why I left (and then I looked on the Internet and found out all the other reasons I left!) It's so GREEDY. It's a wacked out CULT!!! :shark:

:lol::lol::lol:

You would think even the die-hard culties (both in the field and on staff) would be able to see that this is precisely the case (all fur coat and no knickers!) but I assume they are all playing the game they play best, pretending everything is fine (or non-confront of reality for those that prefer the term) and that the frantic accumulation of flashed up property at the fields expense, is a perfectly normal way to run a religion (cough choke lol) that is clearly on the run.

I wouldn't want to be a Div 6 registrar at the moment, trying to drag new meat through the door, and hang on tight while attempting to wring every penny they can out of it at the same time.

At least the Div 2 registrars have the advantage of their prey being already indoctrinated and fully aware of the punishment they will certainly cop for not handing over whatever money they have available or that they can beg, steal or borrow.

Gotta love the internet.

I just wish Tubs was here to see it.
