:clap::clap::clap:

I used to sing this to my grandchildren (and children) when they were little, accompanying myself on the piano!

This guy does it way better than me. When my grandchildren come along, I'm gonna do it with an Italian accent! :omg:

Holy Crap! That's the first song I ever learned on guitar (circa 1982), but it was called "On top of Old Smokey". Thanks Gottabrain and Kutta. I'm gonna play this version at the next family gathering!

Oh yeah! I do the 'On Top of Old Smokey' one too! Great lyrics.

On top of Old Smokey
All covered with snow
I lost my true lover
From a-courtin' too slow

Now courting's a pleasure
And parting is grief
But a false hearted lover
Is worse than a thief

For a thief he will rob you
And take all you have
But a false hearted lover
Will lead you to the grave

And the grave will decay you
And turn you to dust
There ain't a girl in a hundred
That a poor boy can trust

They'll hug you and kiss you
And tell you more lies
Than the cross ties on railroads
Or stars in the sky

They tell you they love you
To give your heart ease
But as soon as your back's turned
They court whom they please

So come all you maidens
And listen to me
Never place your affections
On a green willow tree

For the leaves they will wither
And the roots they will die
And your true love will leave you
And you'll never know why

Only Hank could have taken this 2 bit song and recorded the definitive version

Sorry for derail (but only a bit) :whistling:

Last I heard from member of his family, Tommy is not out and has "taken leave" from the Sea Org to care for Jessica, who is terminally ill. Because Tommy has not been on the front pages of the news, some critics have developed a fondness for starting & spreading rumors that are not true.

Sadly, Jess waited too long to be treated with competent medical care and she's now paying the price.

Terminally ill? Isn't she Tommy's age?

I recall you posting that on WWP before the ridiculous banhammer spree started. That's one reason why I came back to this board. I think Smurf is a great resource and can confirm/deny rumors that are credible. I recall seeing on Rathbun's blog a comment by Rathbun that Tommy was in Clearwater signing away his ability to speak. But we all know about Rathbun's proclivity for telling acceptable truths.

I don't what all this cancer treatment nonsense that you're all spouting is about. The cure for cancer is perfectly simple. LRH wrote about this long ago:
_____________________________

"Cancer has been eradicated by auditing out conception and mitosis."

L.Ron Hubbard.

Now can we all just get back to the subject.

P.S. Someone had better tell Tommy that LRH has already developed the tech for his problem.

Might be a bit harsh. Someone has a serious illness. Not much there to make fun of.

I believe what you have heard is probably accurate, Smurf.

However, it's good that he is at least physically out for a while.

A lot of people who get out of the SO on "medical leaves" never go back.

That's how me and my wife got out. It wasn't SO, just a mission, but with her being in hospital I had to be there almost full time. It was the break we needed to separate yourselves from the madness that is a staff position.

Agreed. In the end they were just as conned as anybody. And when you look at things like this, where people are influenced so severely as to abandon proper and timely medical treatment, you get a pretty good idea of Elron's true feeling for humanity. I mean that's a pretty serious con job there to knock off maybe decades of many people's lives just for money and ego. May the cosmic toilet flush that piece of shit to never be seen again.

Agreed. Cancer is no joke. Give it a rest, ferchrisakes! :duh:

No ones joking about her dying of cancer. The black humor comes from just posting LRHs own advices about cancer which tragically ronbots follow many times.

Sad truth is LRH's criminally stupid advice about cancer and other illnesses lead to unnecessary situations like Jessicas. I don't think any one should back away from making fun of, critizing, or just plain shitting all over LRH's stupid advice about cancer - maybe it will keep yet another deluded soul from following it to their grave.

I get tired of posters here trying to moderate this board by telling others what's acceptable or not, when humor is ok and when it's not, when subjects are off-limits and when their not - all based upon their own personal standards. Seems like Emma wrote some board rules and does a fine job moderating, so why not leave it to her and her chosen moderators? People can whinge via the "report" button if rules are broken or their delicate sensibilities get offended.

:duh:

I was making fun of the Scientology claim that LRH has cured cancer, not that the woman in question has cancer or that it is not a serious illness. It's the fact that it is a serious illness that makes Hubbard's claim about his "cure" so absurd.

So don't try to twist my words of mockery into your own meaning by insinuating that I said something other than the words that are there.

To use a Scientology phrase - you are making A=A=A.

Try to rise above the bank.:wink2:

Thank you BunnySkull. I started my reply before I saw yours, and I see that you answered it much more eloquently than I.

... and I bet you anything you like ...

Not ONE Scientologist has had the balls to even suggest that they "run conception and mitosis" on Jessica Feshbach to cure her cancer.

Why? ... Because they know that this would be a real-world test of their cult-leader's bullshit. They know in advance that it would fail, and they don't want to be the one who proves that LRH was simply spouting bullshit all along.

This one couldn't be palmed off like some airy-fairy "win" such as, "My space has totally opened up, and even colors look brighter to me since doing the New Golden Age Theta Awareness Rundown" - or whatever the latest bullshit-named course they're pushing is called.

No. This would be actual scientific proof, such as:

FACT: She had cancer diagnosed by three top cancer specialists.
FACT: She had no treatment other than the "Conception & Mitosis" auditing in a Scientology Org.
FACT: Her cancer has now been "eradicated". Not just in remission, but totally eradicated.

Is this what Hubbard and Scientology claim? YES.
Can Scientology do this? NO.
Has Scientology ever done this? NO.
Will Scientology ever do this? NO.

There goes the "Science" part of "Scientology". It is just plain old Shitshovellology.

That's why I mock Scientology in this fashion. Because it makes me angry that people put their lives in the hands of these lunatics.

Make sense now? Good.

If you're really tired of it, either avoid reading such posts or take more regular naps.

Maybe he's auditing her on the Death Rundown. The EP is when the person changes their last will and testament to make the Church of Scientology the sole recipient of everything that they own. They then get awarded a life-sized cardboard cutout of L. Ron Hubbard so that they can gaze lovingly into Ron's eyes as they shuffle off this mortal coil - knowing that their lifetime's resources will be put to good use by the church ... namely suing Debbie Cook.

Now that sounds like a rundown no-balls Miscavige would develop

I think all future Miscavige rundowns will have that as the EP.

The definition in the "New" Technical Dictionary will go something like this...

END PHENOMENA

1. "Those indicators in the pc and his bank account showing that the church has ALL his money"...

The Scientology end phenomena are:
(A) Total denial of the truth
(B) Delusion
(C) Very good indicators that he has no more money
(D) Release from any possible way of getting money back

Any more? Please add ~lol

Oh I absolutely and totally agree with you.

See my post about "how the hotshot gets in and gets busted".

Tommy's celeb family and Jessica's rich family are why he got let out.

In addition, there is the Cruise Factor. Jessica was Katie's sidekick for a long time. How would it look to Tom and Katie if Tommy wasn't by his wife's side?

Personally, I think this may have more to do with Davis being let out than either one of their Scieno families.

I was wondering if this Jessica is the gal who was attached to Katie's hip when she & Cruise were first dating. Seems like she was there for quite a long while. You'd think they became close? I wonder if Katie is allowed to visit her "friend" before she passes away. :bigcry::bigcry:

Yeah, that's her. Jessica was her sidekick AND her auditor. I would think that would have made them close.

No matter who is going through the misery of a terminal illness, our compassion for the person suffering is in order. I have been too close to this type of suffering, as well as many of you. I do not personally know anything of Tommy Davis. Let's just hope that the experience will return him to the real world. A world where compassion and love will replace his cut and dried I know everything, Ron told- me- so fake reality.
Pollyanna thinking no doubt. Please have mercy on me :eyeroll:
