Here's the deal:

When I left Scientology, I thought just about EVERY Name I'd hear
was still "in". The concept of people being out and free was TOTALLY
new for me. What I realized, once I left, and spent about 1 year with
my x-scio friends, and they'd mention a name and I'd say, "Well, they're
still in, right?"

My friend's response: "HELL NO! They left 20 years ago"!

Also, I know tons of people post here, with a great deal of truth,
ALL of which helps people wake up. Then someone calls me, and it's
THE most amazing thing I've ever experienced, to hear someone
free from this insidious cult. As they often tell me (and I felt re the SP's
when I left): "I can't believe I'm talking to YOU--just a few days ago
I only thought of you as an SP". I had the same feeling, re the "SP's" who
helped me, in 2000, until I left and found out how wonderful these people
really are, and ALL the truths I had been kept from knowing about their
side of things.

But leaving IS a very, very private thing, and in no way do I want
to tell anyone anything. It's up to the person, IF they want to tell
more, or not. If they want a year---or 10 years---that's their choice,
imnsho. But, it's our responsibility to grant them the "space" if you will,
to do whatever they need to do, now that they're free.

I hope that helps. I'm sorry if it's a let down, but I know to many,
they're smiling as they get it!

Great post Tory.

According to my unofficial statistical count of new recruits coming onto staff, only a very small number finished their contracts, maybe 5-10%. I did a calculation once with newsletters which listed all new recruits joining staff within a month. 2 out of 12 people recruited for staff actually joined staff. The others either were PTS or were on project prepares and many of those did not come either. Of the two remaining people maybe, just maybe one would actually do their entire 2.5 or 5 years. However, most people must leave staff and then usually they leave Scientology afterwards.

As far as taking a service and being in Scientology without staff, people like you Tory who stayed for 30 years must be one in several thousands. For me, I was in for three years. I estimate that I was about 1 in 10.

Without staff? I was in the Sea Org, and after routed out due to some idiot "MLO" telling me I wasn't allowed in the SO due to taking medication for Epilepsy (which RTC later admitted was totally wrong to have done)---plus "Non-Sea org staff" at Celebrity Center, and AOLA, and was a volunteer working with OSA Executives for
20+ years, (Including the "Top Secret OSA Int Internet Mafia--run by DM and gang)---- as well as the "Executive Director of the Scientology Parishioner's
League (2000), and worked for RPR which most Sea Org don't even know what it is..........so I was on staff, FYI, as well as "public".

Thanks, Alex. I don't believe in "PTS" ---so that's not why people leave or are not allowed in. If OSA says they're "PTS" it's because it's someone who can think for themselves, and that's not part of the C of $ program.

Isn't it delicious that one more Sea Org member is now free to do whatever
they want with their life? I just love that. To EVERY person who pickets,
posts here, speaks out, does *anything* to help people wake up:
