Hubbard, as anyone who's familiar with Hubbard's pre Scientology
writing career, wrote hundreds of short pulp adventure, detective,
spy, western, fantasy and sci fi stories, some almost approached
"novel" length, with "Buckskins Brigades" novel of the late 1930s
considered Hubbard's longest early "novel" in terms of words,
followed in wordage length by "Fear" (early 1940s), "Final
Blackout" (also early 1940s) and then all Hubbard's stories in terms
of wordage tally up downwards into the "novelette" length books and
then short/magazine length stories. (That is, until his "Battlefield
Earth" which pumped up the words again, and then his "opus" "Mission
Earth" decology---ten volumes serial novel story about science fiction
hero Jettero Heller, "Jet" is Travolta's dead son's name.)

Hubbard ordered and Authors Services Inc, in Hollywood, google it,
Hugh Wilhere is STILL waiting to be interviewed, and Hugh knows
shitloads about Hubbard's fiction pulp writing legacy; Hubbard has
institutionalized the "Writers of the Future/Illustrators of the
Future" contests, run by ASI/Galaxy, google it, and watch Gunhild
Jacobs as the most recent master of ceremonies over the years awards
give outs. I have no real quarrel with a former pulp writer helping
permanently give other speculative fiction writers and illustrators a
beginning and leg up. I myself, was at ASI, from May 1992 until Dec
1995, and experienced several of the "Writers/Illustrators Yearly
Awards" ceremonies. (Gunhild's husband, Larry Jacobs, was
photographed by LA citizen Doug Owens who went to the shrine during
the RPF member setups of the 2009 New Year's Scientology celebration
setups, and caught Larry, Gunhild's husband, amongst some other long
term, 10 years, vets on the RPF-Rehabilitation Project Force.).

I got to briefly "meet" Ray Bradbury, while holding the Author
Services Inc receptionist post, one evening, when all the other sci fi
pals of Ray were at another building, and Ray rode the elevator up to
the ASI reception area to inquire WHERE were his sci fi pals!? Ray
had somehow been contacted and invited and accepted at least the
"party" part of the yearly "Writers of the Future/Illustrators of the
Future" context, and Ray thought the party was being held at ASI, when
the party was on the topfloor balcony area of the CC Int Building
there in LA.

So, Ray, who I saw, using the ASI building cameras, which fed to the
screens that the Receptionist ASI can see, and since I was holding the
ASI Receptionist position for the moment, I saw Ray get into our
elevator, and ride up to the ASI receptionist area, then on the 3rd
floor, and I then I told him the party with his pals, which he was
seeking, was in another building, over at the Celebrity Centre
building, the Fifield Manor building, on Franklin, so he thanked me
and left.

That was the extent of my earthly face to face speaking and listening
moment of co-mingling with Ray Bradbury.

At an earlier year "Writers of the Future/Illustrators of the Future"
gathering, which goes on for about a week of seminars, and feting for
the young/old contest winners and 2nds and 3rds, a crowd of usually
about 50 odd sci fi budding writers and illustrators (considered
"amateur" because they haven't technically "sold" their works relating
to "sci-fi" or "fantasy" as yet), at this earlier year's one seminar,
Ray Bradbury was talked into giving HIS seminar.

NOW TO THE POINT, finally.

Ray Bradbury's advice, which Ray gave to the seminar of young writers
and illustrators, was simple, and his seminar was only 5 minutes long.

He said: "GET THE BEST AGENT YOU CAN AFFORD."

Reason: The best agents WILL know who to sell your work to so you
get paid, and both the agent and YOU, survive.

POINT: Mark Bunker, who is now doing some unprecedented
interviewing, bar NONE, in all Scientology recent decades history,
MARK, should get a GOOD agent.

Anyone wanting to help Mark with Mark's documentary, SHOULD contact
Mark, via xenu tv, and give him help GETTING a topnotch agent.

Mark's EXCELLENT work, this Mike Rinder interview is PRICELESS cutting
edge!!!!

Greg's at Int Base, and likely only talk if DM left the scene, and if somehow the bulk of the leaders all somehow found their tongues and all started talking en masse.

But it's not a fad that Scientology leadership are used to doing. They control and PR their answers to the T, and follow the PR guidelines.

Hugh can talk officially about sci fi and pulp fiction history of Hubbard officially, at least, and tell Hubbard pro Scientology and pro pre Scientology history of Hubbard officially, since Hugh is the ASI PR boss and thus it's his job.

Off the record, if Hugh says anything damaging about Hubbard, would get Hugh in trouble, get Hugh a stay at the Int Base Old Gilman House where he'd do lower conditions and amends and get some sec checking to see why the heck he said those damaging things, and he'd be off post for some months, up to a year, minimally.

Likely Hugh has NOT fallen and done anything dumb, since he's not been mentioned in recent years in the same category of the other fallen senior execs who at various times landed in the "SP Hole".

Hugh, I hope, someday defects, and takes with him some materials, like the ASI advices, and just throws his "life away" as the Scientology ASI long term top PR spokesperson for Hubbard's literary matters.

My suggestion to see what Hugh has to say, was slightly tongue in cheek, since I knew Hugh would NOT be likely one to talk, but who knows.

Someday, hopefully, Hugh will be ready. Hugh was a trained US Army Captain PR man, did PR duties in Puerto Rico he told me once, for the US Army. He's sort of an Ivy League type. He's getting up there in years, so honestly, he's not likely to throw away the 'good thing' he's had going at ASI all these years as their PR guy.
